This April we took the Shinkansen to the Hiroshima.
We visited the Hiroshima Castle (Which is a reconstruction, since the original was destroyed in the Atomic Bomb blast.)
We also visited Itsukunisha and Iwakuni.
On the way home we stopped at Himeji to see the castle there.
This is one of the most famous castles in Japan, because of its great size and beauty. It is also one of the three original castles that has not been rebuilt since the the time of the Shogun. (One of the others is
Matsumoto Castle
which we visited shortly after getting here.)
